MWI wins prestigious "Gold Key
Award"
Since the company was founded in
1998, the folks at MWI Components have been driven to excel in
the delivery of quality, reliable, economical products
essential to today’s busy builder. With service as their goal,
quality as their commitment, they are very proud to be named a
Gold Key of Excellence Award winner.
They also were
honored to be chosen an Iowa Venture Award winner this past
year as well. This award is given by the Iowa Area Development
group to a company recognized as showing growth and
achievement in the Iowa business community.
MWI
Components’ growth, with a third major building addition
recently completed, shows the company’s commitment to continue
along that path. With the 23,000-square foot expansion, MWI
now occupies more than 65,000 square feet. This allows MWI to
expand its warehousing capabilities, and increase the shipping
area, for faster loading and unloading of product. This means
even quicker, more reliable service for its customers,
something MWI is consistently working toward.
Along
with the same quality products builders have come to rely on
MWI Components for, the company continues to make the
builder’s job even easier and more profitable with several new
products in 2005. The new Polypropylene extruded foam closure
strips are a builder’s best friend. Available in virtually all
panel configurations, independent tests show this product to
have had 900 percent less shrinkage than polyethylene. This
new Polypropylene product has been tested up to 10,000 hours
in a weatherometer without loosing resilience. This guarantees
a much stronger, longer lasting product!
Also new, the
Uni-Vent II will simplify any building’s ventilation
requirements. For use with any manufacturer’s ridge cap, it
will match any roof panel, and any roof pitch from 2:12 to
20:12. Made of purepolyurethane foam, it is vinyl coated, UV
stabilized, fire resistant, and has a continuous double glue
strip. Wind tested in 110 mph
driven rain, the Uni-Vent II
showed no leakage. Net free area for ventilation is rated at
8.5 square inch per lineal foot per side. Available in either
20-foot or 100-foot packages, Uni-Vent II is going to be tough
to beat! Reducing product costs, installation time, and labor
costs — to say nothing of stocking only one product — just
makes good sense.
The addition of these two new
products to the fine line of ridge vents, cupolas, insulation,
soffit and trim, customized gutter and downspout, as well as
the time - saving FJS trim, and Marlon polycarbonate roof
lights give MWI Components’ customers the satisfaction of
